Services
Most of our services are provided directly to individuals, with Headquarters receiving
approximately 20,000 counseling contacts a year over the telephone and
in person. See our Annual Report.
For Individuals
- Counseling and support for all personal concerns, such as
family problems, stress, loneliness, relationship difficulties, depression,
abuse, sexuality issues, alcohol or other drug problems
- Suicide
intervention for anyone who is having suicidal feelings;
guidance and support to those who are concerned about a family
member or friend who is feeling suicidal (Certified by the American
Association of Suicidology)
- First Call for Help for people seeking any kind of help or community resources including financial matters, housing, food, legal problems, and health concerns
- Phone
A Friend for children who are home alone, where any child can call and talk to a safe adult
- Accurate information about drugs, including prescription,
over-the-counter, and street drugs
- Accurate information about AIDS and other sexually transmitted
diseases, including referrals to local resources and testing
- Assistance to those who have experienced abuse or sexual assault and those concerned about them; twenty-four hour referrals to the
advocates with the GaDuGi SafeCenter Rape Victim Survivor Service.
- Support groups for adults or teens who have experienced a suicide
loss

For the Community
In addition to direct counseling, Headquarters offers a variety of educational
